This is an early release of the DiffFormatterPlugin, which extends the TiddlyWiki syntax to support Diff
text formatting.

The Diff formatter is different from the other formatters in that Tiddlers are not required to be
tagged: instead the Diff format adds formatting that augments TiddlyWiki's format.

The Diff formatter adds the following:

The VismoLibrary is an experimental library with the goal of providing an easy way of getting cross-browser graphics into your web applications without the use of Flash.

There is something nice about interactive graphics webapps that can be taken, hacked, modified and reused elsewhere. You can take any app written in the VismoLibrary and refactor it into something new. For instance the map on http://www.ilga.org could be taken by any developer and turned into a map showing average temperatures in any country in the world on any given day.

I started the VismoLibrary back in October 2008 when my knowledge of canvas was in it's infancy and some possible work came our way with ILGA- the International Gay Lesbian Association - who wanted a graphical representation of a map which could visualise law data.

I saw the HTML 5 canvas element as something with awesome potential and was disappointed (but not surprised) that it was not supported by Internet Explorer. I played with GoogleCanvas but felt it didn't give me the performance aspects I needed which lead me down the path of learning about Internet Explorer's best graphics offering - VML (the vector modelling language).

I'm quite happy with the end-result although I'm aware in places the code I have written that makes up the VismoLibrary is far from perfect. My ultimate aim is to turn it into a jQuery plugin (I only discovered jQuery halfway through writing it) so it can be easily incorporated into any webapp.

Not sure what the future will bring for Vismo but graphs have been on my wishlist for a while.

A transformation is defined as a json containing:

A json containing x y values for the translation to be performed
*scale
A json containing x and y values to multiply against each coordinate
*origin
A json containing x and y values defining where the focus is on (zooming occurs into this point)

The VismoShape is the smallest and most important component of the graphics part of the Vismo library. On it's own it doesn't do much, but instances of VismoShapes power most of the other library components. If you are just entering the world of Vismo it's best to read up on [[VismoCanvas]] before reading through this.

A VismoShape is composed of several attributes the most important of which are coordinates and shape.

''zoomfactor'': defines how much zoom is applied on zooming in one step. Eg. with zoomfactor=2 and pressing the zoom in button on the controller, everything will double inside. < 1 will produce an inverse zoom effect, zoomfactor=1 will make the zoom ineffective.
''handler'': a function which uses the result of the user input into the controller. Function takes one argument - a transformation - which looks a bit like.. {scale:{x:1,y:1}, translate:{x:0,y:0}, origin:{x:50,y:50}} where origin is the position the user is focused on (the middle of the viewable area)
''hidebuttons'': <boolean> hides/shows buttons on the panel. Use if you want to use your own css background-image for the controls.
''controls'': a list of named controls you want enabled in the VismoController. If none given it will default to ['pan','zoom','mousepanning','mousewheelzooming']
